As promised, some words about the fun I had knitting Christmas gifts.
But first, a word about handmade gifts. I took the "Handmade pledge" this year and gave only my own handmade items. Others who took the pledge gave handmade gifts made by others (etsy.com is the place to look for these) others gave a combination.
If you stop to think about the advantages of pledging handmade, it makes sooooo much sense and none of my giftees complained...at least not to my face!
I really enjoyed finding the perfect project (and changing it for further perfection, as usual) and yarn... all from my stash!
It's too bad that the pics of presents were so sucky.
Look here for one that I made twice. I called them "Dog walking scarves" long scarves with rectangles folded at the ends and sewn into fingerless mitts. The pattern is called "Entwined" and can be found here

Very clever and useful. Here's my dd's pic of the finished item in use during an Atlanta snow storm.
